Due to its long and thin shape, Chile is sometimes referred to unfairly by Argentines as the fat on Argentina’s steak.

But Chile is a country of true natural beauty, encompassing the snow-capped peaks of the Andes, the Atacama Desert which is the driest in the world and a lush lake district in the south.

The iconic Easter Island with its huge stone carvings of figures with over-sized heads is also a part of Chile.
